Henna hates curls :(

Well I said I'll post a picture of my end results but I didn't so sorry readers. I'm just not happy with the end results, my hair did change color but that's only for the previously dyed part. My natural black is still black, I stayed only two hours with the henna on my head.

The washing was easy, it turned out soft too and LONGER! I didn't think much of it, I thought well maybe coz am trying so hard to grow my hair so it grown.

Truth hurts people, at least in this case it does. The henna I had on hated my curls so bad, it turned into a wavy pattern and that's why my hair was longer after the wash *Cries*

You see I love curls, I want to maintain my curls. Final thought: No more henna for me until I come up with a solution of using henna without changing the curls pattern.

Share your thoughts on this one please.

Thanks for your post!

Yes henna does definetely loosen the curl pattern and for those wanting more straightening results, henna does this and works for them.

For some clients we have that want some of that bounce and curl in their hair still, they add amla powder to their mixture. So I'd recommend, if you are willing to give henna another shot, then add at least 2-4 tbsp of amla powder to our mixture per 100 grams. But keep in mind, this also tones down the red of henna a bit too.

I hope this helps!

Thanks Dawn for answering. You see I added Amla oil to the mixture since I don't have amla powder. Anyways I was discussing this with my Arab ladies at hawaaworld.com and they suggested that parsley tea I used had an effect in loosening my curls. I will try it again :D but first will do a strand test and see how it is :D
